Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENT A SNOWMOBILE ?

Q: IS INSURANCED REQUIRED?
A: We do not offer insurance but check with your insurance company to see if they cover off road rental vehicles. Sierra Mountain Sports will need a imprint of a credit card that we can use towards any damage that is incurred. Any unused copies of credit cards will be returned to the card holder or shredded
Q: WHERE CAN YOU RIDE WITH THE SNOWMOBILE?
A: We offer several trails to ride on the self-guided tours. Please see Maps & Trails information page. Don’t hesitate to ask us if you have a specific questions about maps or trails.
Q: WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF SNOWMOBILES I CAN RENT?
A: Our minimum requirement is one snowmobile but we recommend riding with a minimum of two sleds.
Q: DO I NEED A RESERVATION?
A: To make a reservation you can call us at 530.542.3294 or fill out our Reservation Request online to inquire about availability of the snowmobiles.
Q: IF I HAVE A RESERVATION, HOW EARLY DO I HAVE TO ARRIVE?
A: We require that all reservations arrive at our office at least 30 minutes prior to your reservation time. Arriving early allows us time to finish the paper-work before your reservation time begins. Renters that arrive late to the office are not guaranteed to start on time and will not be able to extend due back time.
Q: HOW OLD MUST I BE IN ORDER TO RENT AN ATV OR SNOWMOBILE?
A: You must be 18 years old to rent. Operators/drivers must be at least 16 with a valid drivers license and accompanied by a guardian of at least 21 years of age. Under 16 ride as passengers only unless minor is accompanied by an adult and holds a snowmobile safety certificate.
Q: WHAT TYPE OF SNOMOBILES DO YOU OFFER?
A: We have Arctic Cat snowmobiles. For an overview over available vehicles, please go to our Rental Types page.
Q: WHAT TYPE OF CLOTHING SHOULD I WEAR?
A: Sierra Mountain Sports does not include clothing in the rental (helmet is included). We do recommend that everyone dresses appropriately to where you are properly protected for the type of riding you’re doing. For snowmobiling it is important that you dress in order to not get cold. A great tip is to dress in layers, so if you do happen to get too warm you can take a layer off.
Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION?
A: Call ahead, it’s always the best thing to check right away. During the holiday season we do fill up fast so make a reservation as soon as possible.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY?
A: To cancel or change reservations without any penalty you must contact our office at least 48 hours before your reservation date. Any cancellation received after the 48 hours prior to your reservation date will be subjected to a cancellation fee of $100.00 per machine.
